Carriers Compensation
The Carriers Compensation Cover offers All Risks cover to Transport clients irrespective of whether their customers are nominated under the Policy. As an added extension, we offer $50,000 consequential loss cover as standard to all Compensation covers. Couples All Risks coverage with Legal Liability cover for client with approved consignment notes. Carriers Compensation can be purchased as a stand-alone cover.
Coverage is offered in three sections

Carriers Legal Liability as a Principal Carriers – includes cover for Errors and Omissions (delay and Mis-delivery when carried under approved consignment notes terms and conditions (sub-limit $100,000)

Carriers Legal Liability as a Subcontractor – unique offering of Legal Liability for Subcontractors when operating under a Principals terms and conditions of carriage. Cover includes Errors and Omissions as per above.

All Risks coverage for all goods in your care custody or control

Consequential Loss as a result of loss / damage to goods (sub-limit $50,000)

Discretionary Insurance allows you to elect to have a claim irrespective of whether you are legally liable, in order to protect your freight contract.
Carriers Liability
Lumley Insurance Underwriters are happy to visit your office and provide training on how Legal Liability cover operates and exactly what protection is offered by the Policy. Please note that Legal Liability Cover is not offered without an approved consignment note. In circumstances where your Consignment Note is not deemed appropriate for us to provide coverage, we are happy to provide to our clients (free of charge) specifically drafted terms and conditions for incorporation into your business.
