Important cover change for prestige vehicles
Following a comprehensive review of the Lumley Special Vehicles (LSV) portfolio, Lumley Insurance will cease to write new business for this insurance product from 1 March 2012.
Head of Distribution Anthony Cooper says that cover for selected prestige vehicles previously covered by the LSV policy will be available from this date through the Private Motor product on my.place@Lumley.
“Lumley Insurance is committed to assisting where possible and will endeavour to place new business for your clients' ‘special vehicles’ via my.place@Lumley for specific vehicle types. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer new business policies for classic and exotic vehicles.” says Anthony.
“Existing policies and renewals will continue to be managed by LSV, including endorsements and alterations.
“However, any existing policies for standard and prestige vehicles that match our my.place@Lumley guidelines will be migrated to the online platform on renewal from 1 April 2012 – making it easier for you to process these transactions going forward.”
